Monterey Salinas Highway Office Campus

Monterey, California
Construction to begin 2015
59,520 s.f.

Close to 60,000 s.f. of high end office space. Two multi story buildings, layered with insulated steel sandwich panels by Kingspan. On a highly biologically, visually and environmentally sensitive site in Monterey, California, there was a fixed footprint which we applied the modern upscale appeal factor to the design that the owners were looking for. Utilizing a 'cool roof', recycled materials and other energy saving approaches as required by the LEED rating the project will secure. The site location on the edge of the local airport required approvals from the city of Monterey, the County of Monterey, the airport district and the FAA. Completed in conjunction with Central Coast Engineers located in Salinas California, whose innovative structural framing enabled the project to maintain the aesthetic design quality the client was looking for while keeping the costs to a fraction of what even a prefabricated construction project would cost.
